Ever since I was young, my mother often told me that life is like a narrow road surrounded by thorns and needles, which you need to protect yourself from so you can safely walk across. But in my opinion, bumping into those thorns may be necessary to understand the pain that they cause, so in return, you can strengthen yourself and clear them from your path.
Life is a very complex topic to talk about because each one of us experiences life with a different set of thoughts and perceptions. The question of the meaning of life has and will always remain not because it's an unanswerable question, but because every person has a different answer. You will have your ups and downs. Confidence will help you achieve the unachievable and sometimes insecurities will help grow new strength.
However, life doesn't always consist of ups and downs. Things will become straight, plain, and boring to pull you out of your comfort zone and resume the up-down cycle. Remember, even at your highest, you'll need to keep your mind and soul grounded to keep stable. Think of it like this, you're at the top of a mountain at the very corner, would you carelessly start jumping and fall off, or would you find every way to prevent such an accident? Just like that, you need to keep yourself contained to stay at that high because eventually, you do need to hit a low somewhere, so why not stay at this high a bit longer?
Many of us become so focused on our goals that we forget to care for ourselves and become less empathetic toward the people around us. Instead of keeping our eyes glued to the finish line and blinding out everything else, it doesn't hurt to pause from time to time and see how far you've come. After all, you're human, you can't expect to keep moving without getting tired. So stop and take a breath. Applaud yourself for coming this far, and take pride in your motivation. When it comes to accomplishment, often it's merely the prospect of our future and the positive change that life will bring that gets us excited. In this very moment are you living in the present or are you thinking of tomorrow? Where you are right now was once something you used to look forward to, you dreamed of being in this place; then why not savor this moment and forget about the worries of tomorrow?
